Sunflower Genetics offers a complete package. Our Simmentals are bred for performance, maternal and carcass, acceptable calving ease and disciplined mature size. Our Angus are bred for calving ease, maternal and carcass traits. The Composites are bred with complementary traits for the perfect blend.

We understand that a commercial herd needs to be profitable and we strive to develop seedstock to fit the commercial environment and market place by providing a balanced package. Our cow herd is on track producing genetics loaded with convenience traits such as soundness, udder quality,  disposition, polled, black, solid colored, and other cowboy related traits not reflected in EPDs.

Sunflower genetics derives its sole income from our cow herd. We have a large beef gene
pool allowing for superior genetics and diversity, yet we ’re small enough so we can identify with your concerns.
